Perhaps you’ve noticed the blockchain bubble mentality — when we’re in the bubble, everyone’s just happy to be in the right place on the rise. When the bubble is at rest, or retreating, many start wondering, where are we? why isn’t this moving right? Is there some better bubble somewhere we should be?
How many of us actually give fundamental questions the time of day? Why are we in this? It seems the question of ??Why Blockchain?? is still unclear to most people. When everyone’s going all in, it’s just the right place to be, but when the FOMO is running low, we’re left to realise most people have no idea what blockchain is good for.
A big part of the revolution is not just about building protocols for developers. Many projects, if not most, are doing just that. But the revolution itself, and the path to actual viable token economies, comes from a much broader base. The path to liberty comes from the general public waking up to see centralisation has imprisoned our reality, controlling our information, value and rights.
If the decentralization movement is to succeed, the public must realise the power of blockchains to liberate humanity at scale from the middle ages of army-guarded physical borders, serving central elites controlling the public, towards a better future with dynamic online economical borders enabling everyone on the planet to become a true citizen of the world, with sovereign identity, self-governance and self-definition enabled, across scales.
